Talk about lucky!

A large portion of the success I have enjoyed has been down to luck. Much of the misfortune too.

I'm not talking about lottery winning luck, I'm talking about the right / wrong place at the right / wrong time type of luck.

Knowing and understanding this is helpful because I have learned lessons others haven't. At age 52 those lessons represent the experience I bring to bear for the benefit of others. If those lessons are not learned they cannot translate into experience.

The result of every decision has an element of luck. The number of factors involved are too large for me to influence and for luck not to play a part. At some point, for every decision, a metaphorical coin was flipped, and that had an impact on the outcome.

If I didn’t acknowledge the luck that has rained down on me over the years, I might believe I have God given talent.

For many, everything that turns out well is entirely down to them, and everything bad entirely down to luck and nothing to do with them.

In the world of money these people believe themselves to be property / crypto / stock market geniuses, when things go well. And it’s all down to bad luck when they don’t.

But the truth is, in the end, we are all lucky b*st*rds, one way or the other.
