A whole packet of chocolate digestives (once in a while) doesn't cause me to put on weight.
Three a day does though.
It’s weight gain by a thousand cuts.
And it’s the same with your expenses.
It’s not the new car or big holiday that matters most, it’s your month to month.
The subscriptions, the food shop, the takeaways, the trainers, the Amazon account.
Financial death by a thousand cuts – all of them choices you have made willingly.
Whatever you get used to spending month to month, is what you will expect to spend for all your days.
Don’t con yourself into believing that once the mortgage / kids are gone, you can slash your overheads.
You can’t and you won’t.
30+ years in finance has taught me this clearly.
The good news is that it is never too late to get a grip.
What are you going to choose?
