Blurred Vision

Blurred vision is normal and ok, we work with it every day.

We think our financial vision is crystal clear, we do not appreciate how blurry it is and why we need to be comfortable with that.

The most help we can be is to facilitate change. Change is key – without it the status quo, which you are not happy with, will persist. Without change you won’t move jobs / house / stop work / reduce your hours etc.

And all change starts with a shift in mindset – to see and feel that a different outcome is possible. The numbers are part of it, but most of it is your feelings and emotions and unhelpful thinking.

That is always our first job, to cause that shift. That shift needs careful handling because your thoughts and feelings are human, your numbers are not.

We can see the effect change will have over 1 or 2 years – we have good visibility. Beyond that it gets blurry, it gets uncomfortable no more or less than before, but different.

If you need complete visibility before making changes, then no changes will happen.

That is the second part of our job, to help you get comfortable with discomfort.
